June 26, 2024 by Alan Fuller Leave a Comment

Integrating Eventbrite events into your WordPress website can significantly boost engagement and attendance. With Elementor and the “Display Eventbrite Events” plugin by Fullworks, you can embed Eventbrite events seamlessly and for free. This guide will walk you through the steps to achieve this integration using Elementor.

Note: To embed your events via Eventbrite, you must have installed and activated the “Display Eventbrite Events” plugin, free or premium.

Why Use Elementor?

Elementor is a powerful and user-friendly page builder for WordPress that allows you to create custom layouts and designs without any coding knowledge. It offers a free version with robust features, making it an excellent choice for embedding Eventbrite events on your website.

Step-by-Step Guide to Embedding Eventbrite Events

Step 1: Install Elementor and the Display Eventbrite Events Plugin

First, access your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New. Search for “Elementor” and click Install Now. Once installed, activate Elementor. Next, search for “Display Eventbrite Events” in the plugin directory, install, and activate this plugin as well.

Step 2: Create a New Page with Elementor

Go to Pages > Add New in your WordPress dashboard to create a new page. Click “Edit with Elementor” to open the Elementor editor.

Step 3: Add the Display Eventbrite Widget

In the Elementor panel, type “Display Eventbrite” in the search box. Drag and drop the “Display Eventbrite” widget to the desired location on your page.

Customization Options

The “Display Eventbrite Events” widget provides various options to customize your event display. You can choose from different themes such as Widget, Card, One, Grid, Short Date, Accordion, Calendar, Calendar List, Slideshow, and Venue. Color schemes are also customizable, with options like Theme Elementor, Gray, Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Indigo, Purple, and Pink.

Additionally, you can specify the number of events to display and enable pagination for multiple events. For the display settings, you have control over several features: you can enable or disable the Book Now button, show or hide excerpts of the event summary, display images in high resolution, and include a Read More link on excerpts. You also have options to show the full HTML description, use the full-length description, display only the start time, show the end date, and include the venue name. Other display options include showing availability numbers, displaying prices, and enabling a long description modal.

The plugin also offers various enabling options, such as linking directly to the Eventbrite ticket page, opening links in a new tab, handling duplicate events for multi-organization setups, enabling on-site checkout via a popup, and adding a search function.

For filtering events, you can filter by any keyword, venue name, title, tags, date ranges, and more complex logic through advanced filtering. Selection options allow you to choose events based on their status (live, started, ended, cancelled, draft, or all), categories, organizations, specific events, organizer IDs, subcategories, format IDs, and venue IDs.

The settings options provide further customization, such as changing the Book Now wording, adding custom CSS classes and IDs, ordering events by different criteria, setting a default image, specifying the length of descriptions, customizing the Read More wording, and setting the “No Events Found” text. You can also customize how venue information is displayed and sort events with advanced sorting options.
