We are pleased to announce the release of Fullworks Anti-Spam Version 2.1, a technical update designed to enhance the flexibility and usability of our spam protection system. Building on the solid foundation of Version 2.0 of Fullworks Anti Spam, this update introduces new features that make it easier for developers to integrate custom forms, streamline rule management, and fine-tune spam detection.
API Integration for Custom Forms
One of the most significant advancements in Version 2.1 is the introduction of a robust API. This API, which is documented extensively here, allows developers to seamlessly integrate Fullworks Anti-Spam with custom forms, beyond the standard forms provided in previous versions. This enhancement simplifies the process for developers, making it easier to apply our powerful spam protection to any form, regardless of its origin and also will drastically improved our rate of integration to popular foms plugins.
With this API, developers now have the flexibility to extend Fullworks Anti-Spam’s capabilities to custom-built solutions, ensuring comprehensive spam protection across all forms. This feature is particularly useful for those who create bespoke forms or work with less common form plugins, giving them full control over how spam is detected and managed.
Export and Import of Custom Allow/Deny Rules
Version 2.1 also introduces the ability to export and import custom allow/deny rules. This feature is a game-changer for agencies and multi-site managers, allowing them to easily deploy customized rules across multiple sites. Once a set of rules has been fine-tuned for a specific site or scenario, it can be exported and quickly applied to other sites in the network, ensuring consistent spam protection across all properties.
This new functionality simplifies the management of complex spam protection rules and makes it easier to maintain consistency in environments where multiple sites are being managed. Whether you’re overseeing a network of client sites or managing a multi-site installation, this feature saves time and reduces the risk of errors in rule deployment.
Enhanced Control Over One-Word Responses
Spam detection can be a delicate balance, especially when dealing with forms that expect short or one-word answers. By default, one-word responses are often flagged as potential spam, which can be problematic for certain form designs. With Version 2.1, we’ve introduced a new setting that allows users to control whether one-word answers should be considered spam.
This feature gives you the flexibility to fine-tune spam detection based on the specific needs of your forms. For example, if your form is designed to collect short responses, you can adjust the settings to prevent legitimate submissions from being incorrectly flagged as spam. This level of control ensures that your spam protection is both effective and adaptable to a variety of use cases.
Continued Commitment to User Feedback
As with all our updates, Version 2.1 reflects our ongoing commitment to listening to our users and evolving our products to meet their needs. These new features were developed in response to direct feedback from our community, and we believe they will significantly enhance the usability and effectiveness of Fullworks Anti-Spam.
What’s Next?
Looking ahead, we are already planning further enhancements to Fullworks Anti-Spam, with a focus on expanding compatibility with more forms plugins and refining our ML and AI-driven detection algorithms.
