The plugin uses Custom Post Types for Events. The default setting for the post type is ‘event’ as well as the slug.

This filter allows you to change the post type settings.

The following example will change the slug

IMPORTANT: if you change the slug be sure to rewrite permalinks, you can do this by simply by visiting Dashboard> Settings> Permalinks and hitting save.

Note, if you change the actual post type you will need to update existing events in the database.
